The Cluster of Excellence CeTI researches in an interdisciplinary manner on Tactile Internet and its use cases since 2019. The vision of CeTI is to enable people to interact with cyber-physical systems in the real or virtual world via intelligent communication networks and systems in near real time. Such advances go far beyond the current state-of-the-art approaches in computer and engineering sciences: intelligent communication networks and adaptive CPS for quasi real-time co-operations with humans require online mutual learning mechanisms, which are crucial challenges. CeTI combines the expertise of many different disciplines such as electrical and mechanical engineering, computer science, medicine, psychology, ethics and law. The participating institutions are TU Dresden, TU Munich, NCT and DLR in Cologne, Hamburg and Munich.
