Lunch-Talk – What is CoARA and why is it important for me as a Postdoc?
Join us for an insightful lunch talk on CoARA (Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment) and its implications for postdoctoral researchers in Germany and beyond. CoARA aims to reshape how research is assessed globally, emphasizing broader evaluation criteria beyond traditional metrics like publication count and impact factors. But what does this mean for postdocs navigating the early stages of their academic careers?
In this session, we will explore:
-
The key principles of CoARA and why it is important for postdocs.
-
How postdocs can align their work with these evolving standards to foster career development.
-
Potential challenges and opportunities CoARA presents for early-career researchers.
-
Strategies to proactively engage with the changing research evaluation criteria.
Whether you are a postdoc looking to understand how CoARA may shape your career path or an advocate for research reform, this talk will provide practical insights tailored to the needs of postdocs in Germany.
