Based on his work as an EU funding advisor Byron Schirbock will present often-overlooked aspects that postdocs may want to consider when planning their next career steps.

Byron Schirbock studied history and sociology at the Universities of Trier and Paris Cité. After research on contemporary military history at various institutions in Cologne, Paris and Mainz he became an advisor for the EU research framework programme at the German Liaison Office for the German Research Organisations (KoWI) in 2019. He provides services on Marie-Sklodowska-Curie-Actions and funding schemes of the European Research Council for which he also serves as part of the National Contact Point team (NCP ERC).
